Today has been a very special day at Woolacombe remembering our history and lost decendants of the first World War.
The event was organised by Mortehoe Parish Council where National staff and volunteers joined School children, residents and also 2 people who fought in WW2, to come together, to celebrate this historical moment in time.
The outdoor service was directed by the local vicar, who read out a list of local people who fought and were lost in this war, we were also treated to songs and poems written by year 6 School Children and to finish we planted 30 trees to create a memory woodland funded by a grant from the the AONB.
