What a fantastic day we had on our bash and burn event last week at Mortehoe.
Ranger Josh and I and our volunteer Rangers, David, David and Roger were joined by over fifteen familys all very keen to get stuck in. The Gorse removal is all part of our winter work programme-between October and March, where selected area’s are thinned out to break up what is actually a very sterile environment.
The familys all holidaying in the local area, both young and old, worked very hard and were well motivated especially when the treat was roasting marshmellows over a fire which the kids loved.
