The pictures show the amazing time that was had by all on the Wild Swim Working Holiday last week.
The group of 11 staying at the basecamp at Countisbury, worked each morning with the Woolacombe team of rangers on various tasks including drystone Walling, ragwort control, litter picking along the rocky shoreline-even found a message in a bottle! and raking up grass in the dunes.
In the afternoons-led by Matt, swimming and his support team in sea kyack’s of H2o Outdoors experiences, we swam on a number of Sea faring journeys around some of North Devons best Coastline.
Starting in the pools of Tunnel Beach-Ilfracombe, to become at one with the sea and a wetsuit!, the daily swims progressed in skill levels to build up confidence levels.
By the end of the week (jonathan and I included) had swam in and around pools and smugglers cave’s at Baggy Point, around the bay from Sandy cove to Lee bay and out and around hele bay at Ilfracombe.
After the last swim the group was treated to a cream tea at Sandleigh tea rooms-fantastic!
By the end of the week we all concluded that this was one the best working holidays/life experiences any of us had ever had-superb!
