There have been some exciting new developments going on at Sandleigh tearoom and gardens in Croyde this winter. We have taken down the large and rather ugly building in the enclosed wall garden and replaced it with a lovely new shop and covered seating area overlooking the vegetables beds. This will enable cusotmers to enjoy the superb food, drink and views across the garden whilst protected from any wet weather we may experience. It has been built using good old English oak and will have a living roof and i’ll post some pictures of that when it is fully finished.
The shop however, is now fully open and well worth a visit. Sarah and Brendon have called it ‘The Oystercatcher’ and have done a fantastic job of filling it with a lovely range of gifts, homewares, beach goods, garden tools and much more. I even spotted some beautiful photos of Baggy Point taken by Woolacombe Ranger, Josh Day which i want to get my hands on, so please don’t buy them all!
Sandleigh tearooms and garden are open 10am to 5pm daily and you can follow them on facebook or go to their webpage http://www.sandleigh.info/
We wish Sarah and Brendon the best of luck with their new venture……
