Family Walling Day at Mortehoe a Great Success

Pictures show how much fun, hard work and satisfaction was had on a thankfully dry day walling on National Trust land in fields above Mortehoe village.

The Family walling work day was the 2nd in the series of 3 that are being run this year.  Between 10 am and 3.30 pm, families came and learnt a new skill literally from the ground up through the instruction on National Trust Staff, Rob, Josh, Stuart and Jonathan, went home with a new skill and also got an instant tan from the dirt!

Look out for the next activity in the summer which will be advertised via local schools, campsites, tourist information centres and some media streams.

  1. That wall looks so much better than it used to and lovely to know the areas history is being preserved….

  2. What a great wall and great to see the whole family getting involved. Just the sort of day we love. Keep up the good work.
