Scrub Bashing at Mortehoe

Recently we had Western College Volunteers from Western Supermare out doing 2 days of Gorse clearance on fields above Mortehoe. They were a group with learning difficulties on a residential placement helping to prepair them for work staying at the Exmoor basecamp. The group consisted of 8 adults and four leaders and supported by Stuart and Josh-Staff from the Morte NT , much fun and much work was had /done by all over two glorious sunny days. The gorse removal is part of the management of coastal grassland that resides within the property, its selective removal creats a mozasic type structure to improve it habitat effectiveness.
