Join the Great South West Walk this Spring and raise money for the coastline

great-south-west-walk-strap[1]To celebrate the South West Coast Path Association’s 40th Anniversary a series of 56 sponsored walks, each guided by a local expert is being run during April and May and the walk aims to raise at least £250,000 through individual sponsorship, grants and corporate sponsorship. This will be used to fund over 50 improvement projects spread along the entire path.

There is a great website with an interactive map so that you can locate all of the walks that are happening but to give you a heads up, walks in the Lynton, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Braunton, Westward Ho! and Hartland areas will all take place between the 17 and 25 April.
We can’t achieve this without your help though so if you like walking and want to raise some money (however small) to protect the coastline, go to http://www.southwestcoastpath.org.uk/40th-anniversary/ to find out more details and to register.

But hurry! The deadline for registering is the 11th March 2013.
