Last Friday saw the first real snowfall of this winter on West Exmoor. As many of you know we have had several snowfalls since, and today is no exception.
Our office in the Heddon Valley isn’t served by the easiest roads in the world, so since Thursday we’ve not risked the journey down there. Apologies to those of you who may have left a message on the office phone!
Instead we have been processing next years firewood and squirrelling it away in the barn for seasoning. Even this job has been hampered by the poor driving conditions at times but it has been worth it getting a nice stack of wood inside.
Here’s a few photos of the conditions and maybe one or 2 of us warming ourselves by the fire.
