On Sunday the 18th of November, bathed in the morning sun Justin and I pitched our National Trust marquee at Clovelly Herring festival ready for the events of the day. From the top of the lime kiln we had the most beautiful view of Bideford Bay and this picturesque fishing village.
Fully kitted out with an arsenal of crafty kit we helped children and their parents as they set about creating their very own “eco fishes”, made from a recycled bottles. Now I’m never sure who enjoys these activities more, but the parents were certainly getting stuck and with a bit of glue here, some crape paper there, glitter, feathers and not forgetting those googly eyes!! The kids made some brilliant and very colourful fish as you can see.
Hopefully see you there next year for more fishy fun!
