This week 12 working holiday volunteers and myself made improvements to a link path on High Veer point at Heddon. The path is now stepped top and bottom and links the carriageway from Heddon to Woody bay with the South West coast path below.
Luckily the weather was kind to us and the volunteers have built in 17 wooden steps and 6 stone steps. Also they made general improvements to the path in terms of drainage and widening.
This work was possible thanks to money raised by the Old Rectory Hotel in Martinhoe during the last year, and of course thanks to the excellent efforts of the working holiday group.
