We’ve just had a couple of great days at two shows in North Devon. Woolsery Show is held in the grounds of Clovelly Court, and I can’t imagine a more beautiful spot for a show to be with its views across Bideford Bay to Baggy point and beyond to Exmoor. The second was the Holsworthy Show were National Trust staff from North Cornwall, Lydford and Dartmoor joined us to make really good day. Rob Joule came along with Belle the National Trusts camper van, and the mountain bike challenge for any one feeling fit enough.
On both days we wanted people to get involved especially the kids. So we made bird feeders and bug hotels from recycled tree guards and bamboo. Plus animals from different shaped pieces of wood which the kids hammered together with help from us. We also had a mini woodland with a moth trap in it, with real moths in the woods and on habitat piles for people to find.
Thanks to everyone for all their help.
