Following a call from our tenant farmer at the Torrs overlooking Ilfracombe I eventually found the remains of this burnt out vehicle perched precariously close to a 300 foot drop to the sea below. This is all that was left after the vehicle had been stolen and then set alight before the thieves tried to dispose of it over the cliffs. Miraculously it came to rest just a few metres from the edge which left me with a bit of a problem of how to retrieve it. However thanks to the help of Andrew Adams and his forestry winch and tractor he was able to haul the burnt out remains up the steep slope where it was eventually taken away.
