Roving/Off-site Membership Recruiter
Property: North Devon Countryside – Various locations
Job Type: Visitor and Member Services Salary: £7.25 per hour
Hours: Seasonal, full time (Beginning of March – End of October)
About the role
Do you have the natural ability to inspire other people? With the National Trust you can use your talents to the full, playing a vital role in recruiting new members. Getting out and about in the North Devon Countryside, you’ll work outdoors or indoors across a range of locations, such as shopping or garden centres, office complexes or at events. You’ll be happy to engage with members of the public and introduce them to the attractions of membership. You’ll also maintain an adequate supply of publicity literature, and have a good knowledge of the role the National Trust plays in the local area.
This is a seasonal, full time role. As well as full training, you’ll enjoy paid holidays, free entry to National Trust properties, and a discount in our shops.
With previous experience of dealing with the public in face-to-face situations, you’ll be self-motivated and results-focused. You’re renowned for your warm, welcoming and persuasive personality, and gift of the gab. You’ll put your excellent organisational skills to good use, as you manage your diary, keeping accurate records of activity. With proven sales experience behind you, you’ll find it easy to meet and exceed our ambitious membership targets. You’ll also need a full clean driving licence. Above all though, you’ll share the aims and ambitions of the National Trust – ensuring special places are here to be enjoyed for generations to come.
Here at the National Trust, we’re embracing every possible opportunity to make sure that everyone who comes into contact with us has an unforgettable experience. The members who support us lie at the heart of that vision, which is why engaging new ones is so incredibly important.
