Conservation produces quality local food.

Recently i organised a joint stand at the Woolsery Show in North Devon with the Devon Wildlife Trust and a Local Farmer. The idea and message behind the day was to show how two organisations have been working together with a local farmer to graze and manage sites that are both rare and important for wildlife, whilst producing very high quality local beef.

You couldn`t miss us on the day with our bright blue tent, buntins and feather flags blowing in the wind. We also had a beautiful Belted Galloway cow and calf, a bright yellow compact tractor and flail thats used for cutting scrub, many displays and leaflets and loads of free seeds to give away. For the kids and some of the adults there was badge making and the chance to make willow sculptures to take home with them.

We had a great day and great feedback from lots of people. We even won best trade stand out of the  72 that were there.

Hopefully next year will be as succesful.

Thanks Justin
