This year new tenants Sarah and Brendan moved into Sandleigh on Moor Lane in Croyde. It was just a small house with a huge grassy yard full of weeds, but 8 months down the line, and Sandleigh has been totally transformed into a fantastic tea room and garden which not only sells lovely home-made food, but has a great garden to sit in and enjoy.
The garden is turned into small allotment plots which are rented out by people living locally, as well as providing fresh veg for the tea rooms. Brendan and Sarah will also be working with the local school to local children involved in growing their own vegetables.
If you haven’t been yet – do make every effort to go – our warden team have reported the cream teas are to die for! Sandleigh is on Moor Lane in Croyde – follow brown signs to Baggy Point and you will pass Sandleigh just before entering our National Trust car park. Park up, and you can walk in via the garden to the tea rooms.
