Beach cleaning with North Devon College

With the help of students from North Devon College today, we have hand picked over 60kg of rubbish from Woolacombe Beach between Mill Rock and Black Rock, a 2km stretch which the National Trust cares for.  We hand clean the beach to leave seaweed, drift wood and other natural flotsam and jetsam because they provide a valuable habitat and food source for all the creatures and birds which live off it.  Many hands make light work.  The students took just 2 hours to cover the 2km, which is great, thanks.

  1. found the blogs – well done guys, it’s very weird looking at what we do from an ‘outsiders’ point of view!
