With the help of students from North Devon College today, we have hand picked over 60kg of rubbish from Woolacombe Beach between Mill Rock and Black Rock, a 2km stretch which the National Trust cares for. We hand clean the beach to leave seaweed, drift wood and other natural flotsam and jetsam because they provide a valuable habitat and food source for all the creatures and birds which live off it. Many hands make light work. The students took just 2 hours to cover the 2km, which is great, thanks.
