Beach cleaning day

The Sea hare has wing-like flaps on its back and large tentacles on its head which make it look like a crouching hare.

Blennies are the most common rockpool fish and can change colour to suit their environment.

Had a great day yesterday with Woolacombe Primary School and volunteers from Coastwise.  The kids found some amazing wildlife in the rockpools, like Sea Hares, Starfish, Blennies, various anenomes and lots of crabs.  Barricane Beach at Woolacombe is a real gem of a site for rockpooling, if you have never tried it give it a go.  Today we have school children from Pathfield School in Barnstaple helping clear litter from Woolacombe Beach.  The sun is shining so they should have a great day.
